I remember some time ago some one asked what was the best tyre inflater to use on the motor home, ( cant find the thread) mine was supposed to be heavy duty but takes a long long time to inflate my tyres up to 65-70 psi any recomendations /suggestions? also the standard lead is not long enough to reach the rear of van so i extended it with a longer lead.?apart from the length of time the compressor works ok.

I have gone with Milwaukee

Ring are popular and I also use an Einhell Pressitto that runs off battery or mains.

I extended the 12v lead on mine to reach the rear wheels in my 32ft RV.
The volt drop was such that the compressor stalled at 60 psi.
Extending the hose meant the air withing the hose just moved back and forth and couldn't build enough pressure to force it into the tyre.

I use a makita 181. I used to use a 180, but now leave that at home for the car tyres - the 181 is more powerful.

I think that may be my problem cheers.

I have one of these.

Jump pack as well as compressor so its cordless. When I needed it to raise all 4 tyres from 60 psi to 80 psi as they were under inflated when we collected the van, I had to recharge it half way through. Have used it since to top up the tyres and it was fine.
Also used it as a jump pack to start the Transit based moho next to us once that had a flat battery and was completely dead, connected the pack, left it for 30 seconds and it burst into life like there was no problem.

I’ve got one of these which I’m happy with. It works with the same battery pack as my drill and some other Dewalt tools I have which is convenient. It’s rated to 160psi which is way more than I need but does mean it doesn’t struggle at van tyre pressures. It also has a high volume / low pressure output hose which is great for inflating our kayak 😁

Have the same one for the same reason - works well, seems robust. This follows a couple of Ring RTC6000 jobbies where the battery packs died.

Yes 80psi no problem

The Ring RAC 900 comes highly recommended.

Hi.
Have one. Its ace. I can pull the car up behind the Ducato, leave the engine ticking over, connect the Croc clips to the car battery and do ALL the tyres without disconecting it from the car. Overkill ?. " What will do a lot, will do a little "
Tea Bag.
PS. Would the Ducato look " Hot Rod'ish" if i put " Super singles on the back...... " :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: This pump can manage them.....
