Two people and a dog on a scooter?

Loads of dogs round here travel just sat on the boards between the rider's feet. They seem to have the sense not to jump off when moving or at traffic lights.

We say a chap on a scooter in France and had a plywood hinged panel to close off the flat deck for his dog.

In Thailand you get Mum, Dad, 4 kids, 2 dogs and the shopping on a scooter.:giggle:

there is 7 of us on this , 5 adults & 2 kids plus beer , I’m on the front & my 2 children are being held on peters arms , you can just see my son’s leg behind the rear wheel ,

not so sure if i’s legal 😉

Getting back to a (vaguely) sensible approach to accommodating a Border Collie on a scooter, is there any reason why a top box could not be constructed to a similar height as the people sitting on the scooter? That way Nix could sit upright in it - maybe in her harness that clips into a seatbelt socket. It could even incorporate a back rest for the scooter passenger ………..

20kgs of Collie plus top box etc = one very unstable moped...

Used to carry our first Tibetan Terrier in a collapsible plastic dog crate bolted to the rear carrier. Our second was carried in a modified large top box, but only weighed 7.5kg. She has been joined by our third TT. He is a big boy and too heavy, 15kg, to be carried in a similar manner. Thought about a sidecar, quad or small car. All would require a trailer.
We also have e bikes and use a trailer for the boy and a Buddy rider for the girl.

Love the video clip - and I could probably train Nix to do that as well.

Me and bikes, whether pedal or electric, are not a happy combination. I’m safer on horseback. Now there’s a thought!

Even a horse can be unstable Maz if overloaded. 😁 Bob.

Also, roughly what size was the dog involved in said arrangement, please?
Sorry can’t rememher, it was several years ago.

Any thoughts on the Pillion Pooch carrier?

Pillion Pooch

All the pics and references talk about BMW (GS), Hondas and Harley's so bike of say 250-350kgs or more and with lots of power, not sure how you'd manage all that weight on a moped ie 2 persons and the dog plus carrier ? Just sounds unbalanced to me.
