Two Go Back to France

Yes, this trip hasn't turned out as expected but we will be back I hope. I'm booked in for a pre-op assessment on Friday for a new hip which will hopefully be done before Christmas, allowing us to get away next Spring. Fingers crossed! :)
🤞 that all goes well.

Comfort food tonight. A Lidl cassoulet. Not bad but the sausages were just frankfurters. 🌭 We've got a couple of tins tucked away which have proper Toulouse sausages. :)

Another enjoyable thread, thanks for sharing with us, pleased to hear the breakdown got sorted out eventually.

Thank you for posting - I always enjoy reading your posts and seeing your photos.
I'm sorry you had problems with your motorhome but glad you got it fixed (eventually).
The Pont Avenue is my favourite BF ferry and have done many crossings on her and a few Christmas and New Year mini-cruises as well.
Safe journey home and best wishes for your op.
Thanks again for posting.

That's scraping the barrel even I wouldn't eat that it looks grim.

Have a good crossing, thanks for you thread.

All the best for both the crossing and the hip. Probably not in that order. Thanks for the thread - a great read as always.

Interestingly our ship for tomorrow having just left Plymouth has turned sharply to starboard and sailed past Rame Head.

A glance at the sea state suggests why I think. They are avoiding the big waves.

Hopefully, she will find her way here to Roscoff.

Good night all! :)

We were on the Post Avon today. I can confirm the kitchens were working and that she docked in Plymouth, maybe an hour late. Glad you made it back and hope the December trip is less eventful.

A late addition to this report!

Post #207 covers our visit to Puycelsi which I've only just realised is the village used in the "Wild Tales from the Village" program which is on BBC2 now. The program, if you haven't seen it, is about the wildlife of the village.
