I'm an oldbie MH number 10
anyone retro fitted one of these? also anyone actually have one? is it worth the upgrade?

tia

Yes, fitted one shortly after taking delivery of our Adria and as a replacement for the Truma CP Plus.
Much more intuitive to use and app connectivity via Bluetooth is good. Only slight drawback is that the fixing method is different to the CP Plus so the original lower two screw holes are visible. Going to make a smoked Perspex bevel to hide them.

ok, thanks for that. think I may go ahead and get one.
But what's it like to use?

Here’s ours tonight, agree re holes from previous unit, we covered ours with screw covers, friend is making us an extended frame.

Usability is great, touch screen or phone for everything, very intuitive, only backward step is no programming for on and off, strange given it clearly has the capability. Would definitely recommend though.

My “old’ iNet box has a SIM slot for controlling etc when out of Bluetooth range. How is this achieved with this new device or is it Bluetooth only?

Are you saying no timer?
If that's the case a real backward step, I'm always moaning about our CP Plus only having one time period setting, we use the timer all the time.

Yes, it’s odd because it clearly has the capability. Guess they will put it in an upgrade. Agree on backward step. I’m going to feel a right twit when someone tells me you can!!😀

No definitely a backward step. There no way you can program it to come on at a set time let alone set water to come on before heating in the morning just Bluetooth as long it's with in 7mts of the van totally a backward step.

Bluetooth only at the moment but Truma are stating that this has the capability to be accessed remotely and they are working towards that. See link below.

Looking at the features the system already has I’d be surprised if that doesn’t come in a future update.

You can untwit yourself, it’s not in there at the moment. TBH it’s not something I miss ATM as the heating etc. in ours is so quick to respond I can hit the app on the phone in bed and it’s almost at the set temperature when I’m ready to slide out from under the duvet. It’s integrated with the Truma AC and ambient lighting, error ‘codes’ are displayed with a written explanation, and updates are easy via the app. I’m sure full remote control and other features will be coming soon.

Apologies but crystal ball not functioning ATM, but I’ve got a CP Plus panel available if you want to (retro) retrofit. ;)

The old inet box is a separate unit which can control the CP unit through Bluetooth or by SIM so can control from anywhere ie turn on heating check internal temp etc, truma decided to go with the new panel as they saw 2g Sims being cancelled but this hasn't come to fruition only in Switzerland.

I've seen a 3D print file somewhere for a small frame going around the new control panel to smarten things up.

A link would be really helpful if you can locate it. (y)

Would love to but not possible, wasn't having a go at you just telling how it is 👍

The old control unit was independent and you could set the water and heating to come on at a set time but this new panel can be set manually or by blue tooth.

what I find most frustrating if using heating/hot water on ehu and the next time your non ehu it brings a notification as tries to start on ehu. Then cant view the resources and cant reset unless powering off. Tbh havent tried it on the app.

Yes, I know where you’re coming from as I had that a couple of times. Now I just remember to reset the energy source when shutting it down and it doesn’t flag it up next time activated.

Yes you have to be quick in selecting your preferred choice.

well, I have learnt a valuable lesson. It can only be retrofitted to the system from 2019 onwards, mine being 2018, it can not fit. so therefore I now have a bigger hole than I needed!!! jeez lord

Wasn't sure whether to give you a hug of funny the funny won.

You can get anodised aluminum cut to size on ebay you could make a plate in black or silver to mount the standard controller on.

I have one of these fitted - it’s very disappointing- main issues are 1) it has no schedule feature so you can’t program a time for heating/hot water 2) it does not give you any indication of when hot water will be ready or what temperature is at present- it just says it is heating or it is ready 3) very annoying first screen that only shows a temperature, what should be there is an indication of what is switched on hot water and/or heating, there is no way to glance up and check what is switched on, you have to go to the panel and press buttons to check. 4) the Bluetooth is pointless it takes longer to connect than it does to get up and use the screen directly 5) there is no remote control so can’t get heating on until actually in the van.

It’s really a hopeless design and I was shocked at the features missing! Defiantly don’t spend any money getting one!

100‰ agree with this. We got ours included. I would be disappointed if I had paid for it. We have had both the original iNet box is better.

Yeah agree original inet box works great 👍🏻

Thanks Lenny. Yes having nice perspex surround made in black. Just so pissed about it. Everything I read said plug and play replacement.. other than a hidden line in the truma website.. ( from 2019)

But at least Ditcha Pukka And matbic have cheered me up..

Bloody useless thing anyway. I'll get the inet box

Good luck with finding one
Not sure it is correct that Truma no longer make the iNet box. When we were in Germany last year the MoHo dealer accessory shops had plenty on display. It seems that it is just a decision by Truma UK who have not been marketing it at least a couple of years. Our new Adria bought in July last year was supplied with a factory fitted “iNet Ready” CP display. I could not get an iNET box in the UK. Spoke with Truma UK who insisted it was discontinued and tried to persuade me buy the new “X” display. As this does not have connectivity beyond Bluetooth range, I considered it not fit for purpose. Fortunately, I bought an iNET box on our trip to Germany last Autumn. I expect if anyone still wishes to buy one, they could be obtained by mail order from a German dealer.
