Have parked our van on the drive at home to act as a spare bedroom during the festivities. However, switching on the water and heating results in an E525 H error showing on the Truma inet panel and I have no heat or hot water. The boiler fails to ignite.

This occurs whether gas, electric or mixed is set as power source. I have searched this forum but can see no other reference to error 525. Can anyone out there offer any advice or insight?

Many thanks and Merry Christmas one and all!

View what's active on the top status bar, scroll it through to off before disconcerting EHU
Do other's do the same, or is it just me?
Mike.
Thanks Mike. I think that’s what I may need to do.

Pete,
When you switch the Truma off you will hear it go through a series of actions ending up with silence as it completely closes down. If you know you are going to switch supply while using the heater or water heater why don't you just leave it on the Mixed setting and it should do it automatically. Suggest you put it on EL and after making sure the boiler is full, run heat and hot water on EHU only. If it works switch off and leave it to finish. A bit later try them both on gas and do the same switch off procedure leaving the power on all the time. Can't help more than that because it was our reset switch that was faulty and yours is apparently working, although it is a bugger to find on the newer boilers with the smaller hole. At least if both systems work independently of one another you will know what to do to avoid error messages.
Thanks.

I changed from EL1 to gas is the air temperature didn’t seem to be getting warmer.
The reset on my 2022 combi 4E is under a cover. Just unclips and is next to the lights.

There is red (button?) bearer the fan side that some people have referred to elsewhere. Doesn’t seem to press or do anything.

I think you may find that the red button is the overheat reset for 230v power supply side of the unit
That's correct and I'm thinking that if Pete can only get his unit to work on Gas maybe the reset is faulty. Since he says it doesn't seem to press or do anything that could be the problem.

Ok this may be useful to anybody getting the E525 H error code on the truma combi 4e.
Still under 12 months old this heater is still showing this error code. Have returned to our
dealer several times now and each time they say its been fixed. The last fix was a loose
push fit pipe?
So i am stuck now with no real answer to this constant fault and not wanting to return to the
dealer any more because they are so unreliable.
Ok try to start heater on gas, click cklick whurr fail -E525 H. Reset same, hard reset, same fault.
As the Van is plugged in to mains, now i run the heater on electric for about ten mins on full heat
and then switch to gas. This now fires up and runs fine.
Obviously this is no good if wild camping.
Any ideas as i am quite confused with this situation.

I had the same fault van only 12 old dealer fitted a new PCB under warranty which fixed it

Sensibly i cant really judge the dealer too much, i am guessing they are probably performing a check which
meets their requirements, but its not a deep enough check to resolve.
I bet its not that difficult to change a pcb, i would be tempted to diy if it wasn't under warranty.
What i cannot quite understand is why they are so keen to undertake any other faulty work,
like a recent locker lock repair and trim issues which gets charged back to the coach builders,
but they are not so keen to replace the heater.

Can you take it to Truma? I believe they have a place in Derby.

Obviously make sure the dealer pays for it.

An additional point worth noting, A trained Truma engineer Informed me that the 240v hot air element is not the best of manufacture on this unit hence, he recommend me in using a small fan heater when on hook up.
