Any help appreciated. Had issues with the boiler and hot water - on Elec 1 nothing warms on Elec 2 water gets hot.
Just got home and connected up a watt meter to my ehu lead, on Elec 1 reading does not change but on Elec 2 wattage rises by about 900 watt.
Can this be anything simple or is it a bad element ?

Had exactly same issue. Think it must have been dead for a while as always had to use EL2 for hot water. Abacus Andover replaced elements for me as manufacturers seem to have a competition to put them in the most inaccessible places and I don’t bend too easily now. Incidentally contacted Autosleepers factory about repair but reply was ‘ our technicians are only trained to replace complete units ‘ . Guess people in the hire business are more used to repairing

+1 failed element. May as well replace both when you fix it
Or don’t bother and just run it on gas. That’s what I’ve done. It’s far quicker and a better boiler running on gas.

Yeah - it all depends on how accessible the elements are. Rapido kindly provided a door to access ours so quite an easy job in the end. We also hook up to our domestic solar so get free hot water most days 😉 Screenshot_20240806-182852~2.png

Will look again but I think boiler out seems a real rip off £130 for two elements.

As you are you can heat your water quick and well (via gas), then switch to twin electric (which is now single electric) and that will keep it up to temp.

Think I am fine for a while but will get ready for next down time and change both elements. May check with dealer when it goes for hab check in three weeks but with labour rates being so high that may be a non starter.
