We are looking at the above for our new van, it’s 1700w, 2.7amps on 240v when operating so very doable abroad and off lithium through inverter.
Has anyone got this model fitted? Is it powerful enough to cool the van? Previously we have had a 2200w dometic freshlight, but size and power of this one is attractive.

Well it’s not a lot less than your Dometic 2200 and I imagine that coped fine in a PVC and especially if you are sensible with window blinds and shading, is the Truma a variable speed inverter drive or start stop like the Dometic, our Freshjet 3000 with the inverter drive is very quiet and they might do a 2200 version.

Edit, just to add the Truma website boasts how quiet it is so should be OK on that front, I do like the look of the Truma from inside, on power usage are you having a combo inverter charger in the new van (whatever it is 😉) as that would handle low power hook up on sites.

Yes, we are going completely no-gas this time around. So 600amp lithium, 50amp b2b, 3000w inverter, 300w solar - more if it will fit, yes can top up electric if site connection too low. Induction hob and Samsung microwave/oven combo for cooking, with a Truma d6e for heating and water. Just looking for an aircon to complete the package!!

I was trying to spot it on your roof but the angle defeated me! Did you go black or white for external colour? Great to hear it works for you. Any problems on startup? It say it draws 20amps for a mili second, not the slow inverter startup funflair has, does it cause an issue on site?

Now a little one
I've got a Trauma Aventa compact fitted in my 6m Chausson 530. Keeps the motorhome cool and works on 6a ehu sites in Europe, as it has a low initial start up current requirement.

Due to the layout of my 530 it's fitted at the rear in the wet room ceiling but is powerful enough that we can feel the benefit when sitting in the lounge area or swivelled around front seats.

Hope this helps.

I have the Trauma Aventa compact unit in my 6.4m A Class. More than adequate cooling performance, good for background heating in the winter and runs happily on 6a ehu sites in Europe as long as I’m not running the boiler on electric at the same time.

It also has a very usable fan option.

I’m pondering increasing my Lithium bank to 600ah and upgrading my inverter to 3000w to run it off grid.

Does the compact plus have lights ? I can see an ambient light switch on the remote but nothing happens when I press it and I can’t see any lights ?

Mine does, as long as it's on EHU. The light is dimmable but its a different colour temperature to the Carthago lighting so I don't really use it.

No it doesnt only the Truma aventa comfort has the lighting but they all use the same remote
Thanks for that ! , it was unclear in the manual.
Another question , I have a 3000 inverter with 2 x 200’ah lithium batteries, would the compact plus run off that ,or just hook up ?
Sorry to ask more !

We've got the Aventa comfort running with 3000w inverter and two 230ah Roamer batteries. No problem. It was 41 degrees in the van when we came back. Now it's nice and cool in the van in Vannes.
