Hi, our heater will work perfectly on hook up but on gas it will only work for about 7 minutes then the fan will stop and the red malfunction light comes on?
If we put it on summer only settings for water it will stay on!
Any ideas?

Do you have an external vent cover? If so is it still on?

Could it be your gas regulator, do you have a fault code?

Could also be a power issue. Summer mode might not be drawing enough power to flag up any issues but on winter mode there maybe isn't enough power getting to it so it shuts off and turns the red light on.

Check your fan cover isn't blocked with dust. A hoover now and again works a treat. Make sure the air route isn't blocked either.

I belive a fixed red light is a gas issue, flashing red light low voltage issue. You regulator may be contaminated with oily residue from the gas supply and not allow enough gas for the main heating. We have an inline filter in our supply before it reaches the regulator no problems in nearly 5 years and with heavy gas use over winter.
