Estate agents say "Location, location, location" Motorhome owners say "Layout, layout, layout" Whether you are spending £15k or £95k if you get that bit right you are most of the way there.

Do not be afraid of travelling solo. I do it all the time. It might impact, however, on how you use a van - whether you attend rallies for company or maybe, like me, tour to see more of the world. I am just back from a week in Normandy/The Somme. (I highly recommend Le Crotoy!) and I shall be meandering through France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland to Italy end of this month. Others may prefer to meet up with friends old and new at rallies in the UK.
