Hi

As we have a trip booked to Ireland with our 2 dogs in March we have been double checking the requirements.

We came across this article:

It states the need to notify the Irish Department of Agriculture at least 24 hours before travel by emailing petmove@agriculture.gov.ie with your travel details and pet information

Is this correct ?

Thanks

I don't think that is necessary, but all the other criteria if you have it should be brought over in case your stopped, I'm Irish and have been stopped a few times although I do travel a fair bit between UK and home but best to be safe, just out of interest is your pet passport UK or EU? because if its EU you won't require the expensive AHC
Hope that helps a bit and enjoy your holiday here 😀

Hi Thanks so much for your kind reply

We’re travelling with 2 labs both on AHCs hoping to get them an Irish European passport during the trip 😁

Any suggestions for place to visit (dog frendly place with dog walks we prefer remote places rather then close to town etc).

Were doing the Holyhead-Dublin crossing

Thanks again

We’ve travelled back and forth with a dog several times and never had an issue.
