trauma air con unit (1 Viewer)

hi we had new unit fitted last year only used once until we came away, we are in 30 degrees put air con on lasted 15 mins went off perm red light showing! bloody furious 2k and doesnt work. all it says in book is if perm red light on theres a fault. just wondering if any of you guys have experienced similar and can suggest anything to help us. iv contacted dealers to ask trauma. as trauma ame out and fitted it at our dealership. awaiting response from them. thanks

If you haven’t used it for some time it might be an idea if you can get on the roof and remove the top cover to check the fan’s run freely, if they don’t turn the system will cut out as the cold is not being remove from the matrix. Long shot but worth a look on the remote move away from the unit take the batteries out wait a min put them back in and select fan only then point at unit and turn on. Ours is a Dometic but hopefully similar controls if you can get it to run on fan only select a temp above the room temp and if it still runs just select a lower temp in stages. Hope this helps.

Yes my first thoughts are check the roof fan. If the fan isn't running it will feel cool at first but get progressively less cool and trip on high pressure after about 10 minutes.

Also check that the drain points are not blocked? The unit needs to be able to get rid of the water generated by condensation. The drain holes can get blocked with leaves and general gunk that can accumulate on the roof.
