I am thinking about towing a car with a braked trailer but not done before. Our motorhome is 9m already so would be very long. Any advice or experience from others? Thanks

If you are not planning on towing the car in Europe, you may find the A Frame a better option, also probably quicker to hitch up etc. and no need to have a pitch big enough to store the trailer also…..We have a Fiat 500 Abarth that we tow with an A frame, fitted by LNB in Bristol, great guys down there and all ways happy to discuss your needs. Their A Frames are lighter and also use the electronic braking system.

LNB fitted our towbar and are great cheers. They claim its OK to use in Europe now, views? Thank you for your feedback, its reassuring

Spain has a specific law which bans the towing of vehicles, Its hit and miss how this applied, some get away with it others don't, if your wife can drive if they make you uncouple your ok, if not you could have a problem.

I tow a single axle trailer with a Smart on it behind an 8M motorhome. No issues. I prefer the trailer because I can reverse if needed (sometimes 😁 I take a wrong turn and need to turn round). Wouldn't have a twin axle because of difficulty moving it by hand and more tyres to replace for no real advantage.

Excellent point and advice, thank you

I've had three car trailers over the years and they all came with movers. Absolutely brilliant and so very easy to manoeuvre anywhere. My present trailer also has a mover.
Thank you that is useful

A trailer is a one of cost which allows you to change the car as often as you want/need. A different car will need the A frame conversion before you can tow, adding to cost. The payload you lose will be the weight of the towbar assembly plus about 70-100 kg nose weight of the loaded trailer. All you have to watch is the mass in running order which is the maximum gross weight of both the prime mover and the loaded trailer, this will stamped on the vehicle weight plate. I went for a trailer and so far I have never regretted that decision as I have never had an issue moving or storing when at a site or a CL. There are a load of posts on here about the pro’s and cons of an A frame v a car trailer that will either help you decide or cause you to pull out your hair in frustration 😉

Looks great the pictures and thank you for the advice. Decided to take a bit of time and think more about it before I jump in. Appreciate
