Do i have to ajust my opinion of humanity, or is that a finger in the air?

If people did not buy cars on how they looked then they would all look the same and simply have different spec
I've met very few women for example that bought a car for anything other than its appearance...
My wife ( obviously one of the few) on more than one occasion said any colour as long as long as its not white. 4 of the 6 cars bought primarily for her were white, other things being important. I cant believe most people put form over , function. What's the guidance given on this forum for selecting a mh layout, layout, payload, no mention of colour or how pretty it is. The selection of a car is the same can it carry the stuff we need is it confortable ecconomical or any suitible criteria applied. Only then will asthetics come into play. Are people so shallow that advertising works?
