Interesting. I dropped into a VW dealership last week, looked at the Buzz & the 3 new Californias.
The salesman told me not to even look at the Buzz if I wanted to travel anywhere.
The new Californias are built on a Ford Multivan - smaller than the previous versions and expensive for what they offer (the salesman told me) because of the name. Not much better than a day-van although theoretically they travel 4 or 5, and sleep 4.
Not impressed.

This might give a little bit more hope for the medium term future but the industry is such a niche we are always going to rely on the trickle down effect

we met a lady (solo traveller) in Itly last year, she was in a Nissan all electric camper with a range of about 160 miles, she did suffer from range anxiety, but made it all the way down to Rome eventually before she headed back to the UK, so if you were in a van with a larger range poss around 300 miles, then it would be easily doable, but are there any 7m+ all electric motorhomes, because i think the market could benefit from them if cost was able to be kept low enough. The distance and weight ratio seem to be the hurdle at the moment
