Also, if you've not been on the islands for a while be aware (as you are over 6m) you'll have to crank that wallet open an extra 50% or so :-/
 
Just for fun I had a look when Im off in October. Isle of Sky (UIG) to Harris (Tarbert) £196.70 return
Same dates Dover to Calais £188 return.

Ok haven’t been to Scotland sinc 2019 but I remember a lot of villages etc have public toilets that , as said , the locals maintain

If I use a public loo to empty the cassette I always take (and use) cleaning things and give the facilities a thorough clean whether they need it or not :) Air freshener is a must as is opening a window if there is one.

I'd spend a lot more than that in fuel getting to Dover.

To be fair Im nearer the Dover end, but its the ferry price rise that now puts me off the Hebrides and other Islands now sadly. Used to love it but unless prices go back to what they were it'll be a while before I go again.

Probably wise as Uig pier is closed 10 October to 27 March this winter :happy:

Hmm, 25 miles, or 715 miles. Under £82 return.

Can’t wait next Friday we set off upto Falkirk then Inverness and see what happens. All help appreciated. Small camper so water our main concern, hopefully 1/2 nights off road then a site and so on see how it goes.
