Tour of Germany 2024

Initial plan to have 2 days in the Netherlands but the weather was awful when we arrived in Amsterdam. Decided just head south to our first German stop at Bad Bentham. Really windy yes when we arrived but it looking good for the rest of the week. The Stellplatz is okay and sits in lovely park( Sclosspark)
Electricity is not easy to be had unless you are early. Town itself is lovely with lots of bars and restaurants.

We are now at the lovely town of Rinteln staying at the Stellplatz.
If you come here try and park overlooking the bridge and the bar.
The bar has your typical German food (not cheap) and best of all Paulaner
We’ll be in town later so I’ll be back with an update on that.

Visited the historic town of Rinteln today and had lunch in the lovely main square. One of the local firemen was getting married and was serenaded by his workmates. Nice to sit in the lovely bar/restaurant named Bodega and watch what’s going on.
Incidentally for all those sentimentalists their is a Woolworths in town

We’ve arrived at Edersee Whonmobilepark.
47 euro for 2 nights 2 adults + Whippet + tourist tax
It has a Bavarian style bar/restaurant onsite.

We are still at Edersee. Moving on south tomorrow to Erlenstadion Asfeld for 2 days then after that Remagen on Saturday.

Spent the last 2 days in Alsfeld a lovely historic town. Although I do
prefer Rinteln for the Stellplatz,bars and restaurants.
Highlight of visiting this lovely town is finally seeing Storks nesting on top of the tower.
Been travelling around this region for a few years and haven’t seen them until now.
