We will be towing our scooter on a trailer to Spain for 2 months in January.

Last year, going over the hills to Zaragoza it snowed so the roads were covered in salt and sludge. We didn’t have the scooter on the trailer then but the Moho did get quite dirty. Also, in the UK we have towed in rain and the trailer/ scooter does get quite dirty in the rain.

A cover would seem to make sense but I am concerned about it flapping around too much and abraiding the paintwork. I guess plenty of binding might help but do wonder what others do. I realise some have enclosed trailers and others use their garages but we only have to option of an open trailer.

Any advice gratefully received👍

We towed a Suzuki Burgman 200 on a trailer, we used an Oxford cover which was a nice tight fit with no problems.

Our scooter never got scratched in 10 trips to Benidorm. If the bike is clean it should be ok, took the Duke 390 this year, covered it through France and haven't noticed any scratches.
