I am looking to buy my first MH soon, used rather than new.

Antipicating spending about 75% of my time in mainland Europe, with the rest in the UK.

Is there a significant advantage in left hand drive?

Are there any issues with right hand drive in Europe?

Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

I had a RHD liner (only one door, on the ‘continental near side’). Never found the door position a problem over here, although I never needed to get out on a motorway. The only problem I ever had was being boxed-in on a ferry with a bulkhead stopping the door from opening!
Two or more doors to exit by is an advantage.

So did you stay there for the whole crossing?

I am quite happy with our only/habitation door, partly because it is just behind the RHD Driver's seat.

No, although I was tempted - the opportunity to get a good rest in a comfy bed was tempting. We moved back as far as we dare and squeezed out at the cost of a fly screen. By that time the passenger exits were locked and it wasn't until we found a crew member that we found our way to the decks.
It did make me think that staying in the van might be worth it. After all, that's what the immigrants do...

LHD, remember, exhausts, clutch cables, hand brake cables are different on LHD vans. Our exhaust on the old RHD needed replacing in Spain. No parts, it took ages.
Ha.
Power steering pipe was leaking last mot. Rang fiat professional uk, was told RHD one
was around £100 + vat......
Local garage told me that one from fiat.... Turin..
£53 delivered all in.
Exuast, if it ever goes, I will get a stainless one made with a life time guarantee.
Imo, only over the water makes an A class, so bits are easily available if your persistent in your search......or from Yorkshire;)

Last mh was lhd current is rhd. For preference would be lhd but neither is a problem here or abroad.

You probably will not get an oven on the standard LHD spec, so if youu want one it will cost you as an extra.

Have you seen the thread about people not being able to get a written guarantee from Cathargo?

We didn't find it difficult to drive RHD on the continent nor do we find it difficult with a LHD in UK. The main factor for us was being able to sell on the continent rather than being restricted to the UK dealerships.
