Tired of sticky seals, look no further than an adult shop

I was in two minds to share this tip or not, but it worked and was cheap so why not. :)

The seals on the windows etc were getting a bit sticky again this year. Last year I used silicone spray, it works but goes everywhere!

A caravan forum I used to frequent recommended a bar of the stuff but it was £20 for a small one.

Well, during my internet search the adult filters were off and up popped this stuff.

It came in discreet packaging and I have duly wiped it all over the seals and it worked great. Only used about a quarter of the bottle too so I am well happy.
OK.

We believe your story.

Yep, I'm an ex dinghy sailor
Don’t miss the middle of a championship week trying to put on either a wet or dry suit that is by no means dry…. Tesco bags for the feet getting into the boots….. used to race wayfarers (no 33 - very quick boat built 1957) and various Ospreys. Loads of other stuff in my youth

I first used Gummi Pflege on the rubber seals on my convertible , it's water based so it doesn't attract dirt like the oil based sprays. works fine on the MH as well, a small bottle should last years.

I started with a Mirror, then a Pacer, then a Streaker and finally a Laser. I was better at being the Treasurer of the local club than sailing, did that for 20 years.

Has anyone tried fine chalk powder as used by some athletes, and is it good and safe for the seals?

Gummi Pflege for us too - keeps seals tip top in car & motorhome, easy to use & lasts well.

Did you build the Mirror from a kit? Our Mirror was number 22417. I helped my dad build it when I was a kid. It cost £70 in 1970 I think.

Solos.
OK, OK, "old man's lasers". Heard it all!! Great fun though, but breaking the ice around the shore on the lake in the winter series early on a Sunday morning wasn't so much fun.

I quite like SoSlows…… until I protested one of them for continual rule 42 infringements. Gave about three warnings then after 10 minutes when he started again the magic word “protest”. Got him bang to rights as I unclipped the GoPro

If the main sail has been rolled up all week tucked up under the cover the tell tales often stick in light airs. Giving the traveller a yank to free them isn't pumping.

That’s some deep sailing lingo right there.

Goes completely with the thread though. :)

Yeah right. This guy was a serial offender. Tried it again after a disqualification and protested again. Immediately retired and didn’t do it again when we were around
