Leave all cupboards open . Remove any perishables. Lower drop down bed if you have one. Drain down water and leave taps open. We put damp crystal pots around the van. Remove all bedding .

Unless you have solar charging the batteries (engine and habitation) I'd suggest ensuring they are fully charged and then disconnect.

Ive lifted my wheels off the ground and placed the whole thing onto axle stands - that way the tires don't develop a flat spot which annoyingly announces itself on long drives or gives a reason for it to be an MOT failure!

Plus hand brake off and every now and again i give the wheels a bit of a spin to stop the disks from rusting into place!

Remove the wiper blades to avoid them sticking to the screen and getting damaged next time they are used. Put bits of foam or similar under the ends of the wiper arms to protect the windsceen

and don’t leave any cameras in the vehicle, I did and now I can’t get rid of the moisture message in the camera, now it doesn’t work.

Leave strongly smelling tumble drier sheets in the open cupboards.

Stand seat cushions and bed mattress on end or on blocks to allow air circulation unless you are removing them completely and putting in the house.

Ansio condensation bags and tubs from Amazon, absolutely amazing how much water they collect, I've used them for years

If you have sheepskins on your seats take them off. They can be a moisture / mould trap.

If Motorhome is not stored under cover, fully charge both batteries before parking it up, make sure you leave handbrake off and in gear, put wine bottle corks under windscreen wiper arms, if possible remove all soft furnishings and cushions and take indoors, either way leave ALL window blinds open as the winter sun will help keep the inside aired, if needs be cover all upholstery with old bedsheets or dust sheets to prevent fading, and be sure to fully drain down water system, and make sure you remove all foodstuffs to save attracting rodents.
