Did we push you into it?Had a corned beef sarnie for lunch today.
…..But the supermarket has just opened a large tin of corned beef, sliced it and repacked in polythene packet!Yes it is preserved but not always tinned. You can get it sliced in packed (now that most supermarkets have closed their butchery counter) along with Ox tonque.
Came into spain thursday ,fridge chocka bloc with British products, tinned stuff if all kinds ,theres no one at the borderI'm planning a motorhome holiday in Spain next year. The more I read about bringing in meat, the more confused I get.
From “Spain's Official Tourism Website” :
Heading: “What can you bring into Spain and with what limitations?
“There are a number of products which have entry or exit limitations in Spain from outside the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. These include cultural goods, wild fauna and flora and products derived from these, vegetables and plant products, weapons and ammunition, medicines, tobacco and alcoholic beverages.”
Can anyone point me to official information which might answer these questions about Spanish Customs?
(I’ve just emailed the Spanish Tourist Office in London)
a) Tinned meat
b) If I enter Spain directly from the UK by ferry
c) If I enter Spain from France.
d) Whether the passport I use affects any of the above as I have dual Irish EU and British UK birth nationality and separate passports. I am resident in the UK.
Someone's pulling your leg m8y, it's made in tins ,cooked in tins and sliced up from a tin.Nah, can’t go with this I’m afraid. When you buy it from a deli in slices it is usually cured or pickled brisket. Not the same as in cans.
