Time to renew insurance

It's that time again. I have just had my renewal for motorhome with caravan guard. It's gone up £70 this year.So time to search around to see what prices I can get.I have got Safeguard and CMC on my radar.Any more suggestions appreciated.

I have recently renewed mine , L>V> were very popular but they now won't insure motorhomes. and another i used to use Campton insurance i got the same reply, tried Ripe (to many restrictions) ,went with Caravanguard in the end.

Your profile doesn't show your vehicle but if it's an A class be wary of windscreen cover and amount offered. Some policies have an amount that look good until you find the real cost of an A screen.
Comfort is maybe one you have not listed.. a £70 increase might not turn out to bad once you've had some comparisons.

If you were happy with what you paid last year I don’t think a £70 increase is a bad result in today’s market.
As tonka has stated, check like for like especially windscreen cover for an A class.

Seems quite a small increase co pared to some I've seen on here. Mine went up over £100, and other quotes same or worse.

+1 for Comfort. It's not just the price; it's also the level of cover and added features that are important.

Mine's just gone up £99 with Caravanguard. Then it cost me another £26 to increase the annual mileage by 1,000 miles!
Everywhere else was approximately £150/£200 dearer!
C&MC wanted 2.5k!!!

Well.That turned out good again. Thank you caravan guard. Got a quote from CMC.Who said they would beat any quote by £25.Got back in touch with caravan guard. Spoke to a real nice man.Went back through my policy. No changes. And knocked me another £11 pounds off.So ended up paying £397.

I’d love to know how insurance is calculated just renewed mine and using comparison sites and some direct sites came up with the following lowest quotes from each provider with lots of other values in between, these are all based on exactly the same information

LV and CMC wouldn’t quote due to my storage post code which is 1.5 miles from my home post code

I research every time my insurance comes up and each time Comfort has been the lowest. It seems like there are so many criteria each one takes into account that the only answer is to do the leg work (using the names given on this site).
