Swift trekker
I've got an odd and intermittent issue with my sliding step on my swift trekker (new) I'm just wondering if it's something obvious before taking it in to be looked at. The step extends with no issues but when retracting sometimes it doesn't go in fully, when I start the engine it will then do a warning beep followed by full retraction ( i hear the clunk) then it might work OK a few times only to do it again. I've had the step out and hoovered inside and tried lithium grease but to no avail. Any ideas?

Hi and welcome . w2f
Not sure what step you have.
Could be a number of things.
Possible faulty limit switch or some steps have a plastic drive gear that can lose teeth causing intermittent closure.
As it’s a new van with warranty I would refer it back to the dealer.
Hope you get it sorted.
