Knocked on the door of an Autotrail yesterday in Cordoba at the zoo car park and met Ann Terri and Paul who apologised that they weren’t funsters but had bought the van with a funster sticker on it!!!!
Said it was their first time motorhoming and had not found it as friendly as they thought and that I was the first person to speak to them on this trip 😐
I mentioned the fun forum but they said they were members of a autotrail Facebook group and that would do!

We have always considered it funny that motorhomes we see on the road will wave enthusiastically but then be standoffish on site.

We are coming to the conclusion that the waves are really being accompanied by cries of “keep away” when we see them.😉
That's why I don't wave.

2 faced gits lol

I was thinking of putting

"Chancer before cancer" on mine

Life's too short to take it seriously.

EVERYTHING is a laughing matter.
You just have to choose to see it that way.

Sadly everyone seems to get upset about everything these days. Iife throws many curved balls and cr*p at us. There’s nothing wrong or offensive about stating what you are doing to accept it or cope with it. As Tam says, “life’s too short”

60% of part exchanges or vans we are brokering come in and every time I make a point when they point it out of saying that’s really funny….
It’s funny to them and what’s the problem with that?
I would rather have adventure before dementia. Is it a joke or a statement?
I have type 1 diabetes. I may have pancreatitis, I am being tested at the moment. However there are posts on this site about lunches or treats with comments about diabetes… so what, it’s funny, it’s said as a joke or it’s someone being witty.
I am 39 I don’t know if I will make 49 or 79. Do I get offended? No… I have enough to deal with it. My friends and family will take the piss because we have to deal with it.
My best friend and business partner has lost his dad two weeks ago to dementia. He died. I love him more because he takes the piss and makes light of it and he isn’t even buried yet!

Yes you have to have a bit of “dark “ humour when caring and dealing with those rotten diseases mum had dementia but was physically ok, dad was crippled with parkinsons, they were divorced but me and my sister would joke if you put them both together they could make one solid healthy person, plus dad was always asked to chop salad as he did it best with his shaky hand,he was very self mocking about his cruel illness, and would never let us be sad/serious about it.i hope i can be as strong when i get whats coming to me🧟‍♂️,mum would flirt with tradesmen and tell you to duckoff if you said something she didnt like( total opposite to pre dementia ,when she was shy and loathed foul language)lol

We have an "Adventure before dementia" sticker on our van. It was on it when we bought it from a lovely old chap in his 80's. We left it on as we agree with the sentiment. Our family, like most others has been touched by dementia and it is horrible but as it is very prevalent nowadays we think the statement is true. No-one knows who or when it will strike - so I say "adventure whilst you can" It's not derogatory - it is a statement of intent not a slur on dementia sufferers. On another point - we happily talk to anyone who approaches us. It's the same thing with motorcycles. We are life long bikers and depending which bike we go out on - I can guarantee that people always come up to us and want to start talking about bikes - especially older people who like to reminisce about days gone by. :giggle: One of the ladies in our group of biker friends has early onset dementia too. We still include her in our get togethers and hols - and it is just accepted by the group that she will misplace her gloves or her bag and we have to go back to the last place we stopped to locate said item, or that she will toddle off to do her makeup, then repeat the exercise at least 6 or 7 times. We all laugh with her, not at her and it's just what we do to make sure she can still be part of the group. Maybe our logo should be changed to read "adventure WITH dementia".

I am currently offended by the fact that I haven’t found anything to be offended by this week!
