UPDATE

I have received confirmation that Grange Farm Campsite, the venue for our rally, have agreed to keep the cost at the same price as last year, ie £15 per night (plus £5 per night for anyone requiring EHU - please let me know if you require EHU)

That takes the total price for non EHU to 7 @ £15 = £105 - less of course the deposit of £30 already paid.

Could you all please make payment in full for the rally before March 31st 2025 and ensure your reference includes your user name please.

I have provisionally booked 28th May, Wednesday night for curry evening. The details of which have yet to be agreed and of course, should anyone no longer wish to attend the evening after the details are known, then they are of course free to cancel.

i will require pre payment for the curry night but will advise on the details in the next few days.

And so to Curry Night .....

Wednesday 28th May, commencing at 7pm.

The price has increased from last years £19.95 to a staggering £21 per head ........

We have just agreed the following

on arrival, one papadom per person plus chutney etc

Starters (all three items served on an individual plate to each diner - no need to choose a starter)

Chikken Tikka
Shish Kebab
Onion Barghi

Mains

Please select one of the mains on the menu below


Rice and Naan Breads - will be one rice and one naan between two people
side servings of vegetables will be provided to each table

Drinks will need to be paid for at the time of ordering please, though i think some of you started early in the local hostelries .....


For those who went last year, you will remember that they were happy to accommodate any reasonable requests for 'extras' free of charge, but additional rices, naans etc will need to be paid for. You will also remember we were given a list of specific dishes, whereas this year they have opened the full menu to us.

I will be bringing a list of ordered meals this year, to try to prevent any 'mix ups', or miracles of vegetarians announcing to the world that they are now prepared to become meat eaters ....

I will require payment in full please along with your meal choices before 31st March, please include your user name and the word 'curry' as reference when posting your choice on this thread, thanks

Thanks Rob, i have ammended my post to try to make it clear that i only need the word 'curry' - strange how something can look correct when you post, but someone else looking at it shows just how unclear it was !!!

PS - i was going to recommend that anyone wishing a breakdown of which pubs to visit should either speak to you or Just smiffy ......

I believe my pub crawl was largely confined to curry night and one venue. I believe this to be the case as my memory is slightly hazy on the subject.

Pubs are great there at the rally, I was made to feel most welcome and even got invited to a private anniversary party..

Gary, if it was a choice between 6 months touring Europe including a Moroccan adventure, sunning it up far from the wet and windy months in the UK, or a week in Clacton ......
