THIS week I bought

Due to Mrs A's Mum having a stroke 3 months ago and our Daughter not being in the best of health, we haven't managed to get to our house in France for 4 months and when we got here last week, the grass had gone wild.
I've spent the last 4 days gradually mowing it shorter and shorter and still had a fair way to go before it was back to how we left it. And with only being here for 2 weeks, and lots of other stuff to do, I decided it was time to get a ride on mower to get the job done quicker.
So, cycled up to the Agri centre up the road, bought an Eden Park 500cc automatic lawn tractor and the staff loaded it onto a van and followed me home. 10 minutes later, I was belting round, er, I mean mowing the lawn again, an hour later it was all done and I could get on with fitting the new bathroom sink.
Can't wait for the grass to grow again.....

10mm 14mm and 16mm copper pipe! Why do the French have to have so many silly sizes! And at €17.60 for a 2 metre length from Mr Bricolage, I won't be doing much more plumbing over here!

Just found out, same pipe in Leroy Merlin, €10 less, but it's a 60km round trip.

My best catch ever is having trouble installing the new one, so may have to keep fishy one.

Ordered some the windbreaks, gate and skirt from Jormax to make an enclosure for the dogs to save having to tie them to something. A bit expensive but the consensus seems to be that it's worth the money. Will report back when it's arrived.

Bit late with this as Saharan Dust cloud brought Asthma attacks in plenty to the Bassett household.:crying1:
A Strikeback Growler fitted in Eddie's absence at Peterborough by the team and a brilliant job they did too, both of the installation and the detailed hand over brief which even and old scrote like me could understand.(y) Sorry about the initial CC refusal @eddievanbitz it was a trifle embarrassing for me :eek:and the boys I think...........Nationwide offered much niceness and apologies the next day in Exeter so all's well.
Re the intense blue LED's front, side and back...here in Wales all the streetlights go out at midnight, but here at Chez Bertie it's like Christmas every day of the year. :D:D(y)

It's all arrived and the quality seems excellent. Definitely not lightweight. Just need to go somewhere now to put it all up.
