We have name for that style of motorhome. Not keen on overcab bulges myself but it’s not that ugly.
Beauty eye beholder etc.
Phil
What’s wrong with it?
I call the cab overhang an Elvis Quiff.
Oi, now you're getting personal.Have you seen the OP’s?

Oh- please do...Anyone who thinks that lovely new MoHo is ugly has never travelled on the continent and stayed on French aires in winter. Some of the 'home made' stuff we have seen, converted from old commercial vehicles and horse boxes with random large carbuncles randomly grafted on and the obligatory wood burner chimney are a sight to behold. I might start a new thread on this and ask people to send in their pics.....
It’s an XXLi really lovely inside, twin rear wheel drive and on an Iveco Daily Chassis. Very pricey! I prefer an A Class but this is the top of the Dethleff range !
My take is that All C class motorhomes are off. That big overhang, claustrophobic driving position, heavy on suspension, restricted visibility etc. Low profile are nearly as bad with all that wasted space from the cab doors out. At least the C class has a bed overhead. My preference would be A Class all day, and the only show in town. I’ve had them all and will never have anything other than an A class in future. I currently have B534DL.

Oh no I didn'tOi, you bl**dy started it.

I keep my 3D printing station setup in the overcab space. Everyone has different needs. I love A class vans but my C class works better for me.Each to their own!
A class can have some pretty big disadvantages too! Windscreens, crash intrusion etc
A C class ‘bubble’ is incredibly useful storage space!
I couldn't cope with the lack of window area - too claustrophobic for my liking.Recently spotted in Germany, what were Dethleffs thinking?
On the contrary. A rear lounge with large windows on all 3 sides plus a large skylight overhead.I couldn't cope with the lack of window area - too claustrophobic for my liking.
Well for me, the actual side windows (not the larger black area around them) are too small and certainly not what I would consider to be large. On the contrary. A rear lounge with large windows on all 3 sides plus a large skylight overhead.
It’s not so bad but wouldn’t you expect a double axle? Not that I know anything, it just looks a bit long.
This picture just shows how a photo can deceive. The angle irons out the horrible shape. On the contrary. A rear lounge with large windows on all 3 sides plus a large skylight overhead.View attachment 923389

That rear axle is probably rated in excess of 5 tonnes, way more than a tag axle would be.

My thought exactly. But that's far from unique to this model. There must be some reason the designers like short wheelbases, but I wouldn't want to drive it without rear wheel steering (and considering prices that isn't so unreasonable to expect)I thought it was okay, but don't like the long overhang at the rear. Put Mrs Despicable's spare frocks/my wallet in the garage, and the front wheels will lift off the ground.
Oops - my mistake. The Iveco based model has a front lounge behind the cab. That's the large window in the photo behind the cab. Mirrored on both sides and a large Heikki roof above. The rear is a bedroom on this model and there is no rear window. On the contrary. A rear lounge with large windows on all 3 sides plus a large skylight overhead.View attachment 923389
Ours is 2.9t on the front axle and 5.24t on the rearYep, 5T rear axle on the heavy Iveco chassis with 2.3T front axle.
