Things purchased for the motorhome and never use .

Honda 2kw Genny, inflatable canoe, Thule awning end panels. I’m sure there’s more hiding in the garden shed 😡😡

are you going to sell them, what size would they be...........

loving this thread
I feel all your pains, my wife is always buying “stuff for the Motorhome” we have a Cadac never assembled, an air awning which I assume will fit never taken out of the bag, a shopping trolley that lives under the settee in the lounge end and never turned a whee. The list goes on, thanks for reminding me everyone 😂😂

Stay Safe
Cadac, used at home and away, easy to clean just pop trays in warm water and washing up liquid in a bag for life, washes off really easily so long as you don't imbibe too much vino and leave it till the next day.
Air awning use when away with the grandkids or when setting up forore than a couple of days, have put it up on my own once, but left the majority of the pegging out to John as he can be a bit fussy.
Shopping trolley, used extensively when away, the frame is good for taking unwheeled casettes to the elsan point too
Wont list the things we haven't used but mostly 2 big bags of, just in case tools

does that make you couth??

Windbreak, Groundsheet & umbrella

So far our trips have not been long enough to use the first two items & we're not brolly types :)
The umbrella has now had two days of use. 👍🏻🤪
Using it was a handy tip from our weekend hosts to make sitting on Silverstone’s grass banks bare able. 😳🌅🥵

God I bet that F1 was hot…

A Cadac.. Used once.. too much messing about cleaning it. Now sold on
A safari room.. Used once but decided it is too heavy to cart around ( stored in the workshop )
We use a Quest instead.. which gets a fair bit of use
Ad that is really about it...........

Oops... forgot ! We also have a small inverter that has yet to be used, but I keep it on board 'just in case'
In case of what I really have no idea !!!!!!

Did you have the big Cadac? I agree the big one is too cumbersome to clean in the MH. We replaced ours with the smaller Safari Chef....much easier to clean, a slight compromise in having a smaller cooking area, but is plenty big enough for 2 people.

We swapped the smaller one for a big one 'cos we found the small one was fiddly !

A quick update - I very nearly used the iron yesterday but decided that a) the weather was too hot and b) no-one is going to see me in my wrinkled top anyway!

Phew - that was close 🤣
Do you have an "unused" ironing board too? Or were you going to do it while wearing it?

Do they allow that at Silverstone?
Only once
I wasn't happy with my 'grammar there. I meant bearable :P

🤣🤣

I didn’t get that far with the planning process 🤣
The early versions of my PVC had a built-in ironing board which, being a couth Tyke who prefers to wear a proper shirt, I would probably have used.
As recommended on here, I bought a collapsible watering can and bucket before I got the van. Also an expensive wheel clamp. Never used in 4 years.
I did buy a collapsible hose but broke it on first trip.
I'm glad I didn't buy ramps as never needed them either.

I have just caught up with this thread as we were away when it started.

Just before our first trip(10 years ago) I insisted we needed an inverter, so stopped to buy one - never used and neither of us can remember what it was bought for.

Also never used Milenco quatro levellers.

Do not normally carry EHU cable, but did this time as MH is on EHU for 2 months while we wait for Greece to cool down.

A small Ridge Monkey. Unopened, unused, and now stored in the shed.
Noooooo! I love my (cheap version) Ridgemonkey! I will be using it tonight for my curry/rice/bajii.

Hmmm, perhaps I need to rethink. It seems too small to be useful across two burners on the cooker and too big to be useful on the Lotus Grill though...

Not ‘mice’ , that would be cruel

Looks like an iron is topping the league so far.....

I remembered another one, I saw it when I was pottering in the van earlier, completely forgotten, don't even know how to turn it on

TV
So how do you stop the doors banging when off level? 🤷🏻‍♂️
