Thetford Fridge not cooling on gas (1 Viewer)

Mt Thetford N150 fridge works fine on electric but won't cool on gas. I had my rusty LPG tank replaced today and asked the workshop what the problem might be. They suggested a service and said it would probably need flue cleaning and a replacement burner and jet.

I had a look just now and the small door that swivels in the casing was open as shown in the photo. Could this be the cause of it's poor performance? Maybe too much air affecting heat of flame?

Unfortunately I have a new empty gas tank so unable to test it this evening.

No. That is just so you can view the flame. I’d suggest stripping the burner assembly, checking the jet, and reassembling.

I will probably buy a new burner and jet as they are only about £32. I can keep the old one as a spare if I clean it up.
