Hi,
I have a Thetford N4000 Model C1 in a Burstner Lyseo (Ducato) only 4 months old.

Main question - where is the fuse? I understand there is one by the Starter battery which I have checked and its OK. Is there one on the fridge it self. Cant see one on the back (see pic below)

A few issues recently. Over the weekend it would not cool on Gas or Electric (powered by Generator). On setting off to return I noticed it was not working off 12V battery. Not sure if this is a related issue or separate? (note we were pretty well flat so I don't think that is the issue)

Plugged into EHU at home now and it seems to be cooling - not totally sure how well yet. It's very hot out on the drive to waiting to see. It did freeze a inch of water in a glass though.

So any ideas of the fuse or other potential simple cures? Any any comments of general issues?

It’s on the board with a black arrow - fuse marked E - has taken me 4 weeks to find why the fridge didn’t work in 240v …
That's not normal, someone's been bodging it. The fridge control supply should come from the 15-way connector, Block 6 Pin 15. There is no fuse on that wire.

The 'fuse marked E' is in fact marked '3' because it's a 3A fuse. That wire goes from the EBL to the general fridge area. It is intended to be used for the 12V heater element supply when you want the fridge to be powered from the 12V leisure battery. If it's a compressor fridge then that is the supply for it when not on 240V hookup.

If it's a 3-way fridge then that is not used very often, because the fridge element takes about 14A, which will soon flatten your leisure battery. OK for a short ferry journey, when you have to turn off the gas, but otherwise not very useful.

Maybe someone rewired the fridge so that the fridge control supply goes along that wire, and put a 3A fuse on it. If it's wired normally, then that 3A fuse should blow immediately if you switch the fridge to '12V' operation when the engine is not running. It needs a 15A fuse for normal operation.
