As above. Bit of a long shot. but, does anyone have a contact telephone number for Thetford.

It will not get you anywhere. I found it a couple of years back... They will only talk to dealers and certified service companies. Emails to the CEO did not exact any response.

I could not find any contact details for Thetford eu anywhere on the web. However I did find a number for the Netherlands office who were only happy to give me the number for the UK customer service dept: 01709 766750. Email: infogb@thetford.eu
Now the good bit (for me at least) Thetford are replacing the entire power control unit including fitting under warranty even though the unit is out of warranty. Result and a big thumbs up for Thetford.

What the person (Sarah) said is they are aware of a small number of faulty PCB’s which they’re replacing with an upgraded module (I think she said with 4000 model)
Under warranty.
I had to send them the serial number and photograph of the faulty PCB.

They sent me a new one FOC outwith warranty. It was a 3000 series but I think it's the same PCB. with the amount of failures I've heard about its more than a "small number "

Following on from the above. Whilst we wait for the new module to be fitted, would we be able to use the fridge on either 240v EHU or Gas. I have disconnected the 240v and 12v supplies at the joining blocks, purely as a safety measure.

As long as you have the low current power feed connected for the fridge controls and the pcb still connected I would think it will work unless the pcb is damaged. With the 20 amp fuse on mine blown it still worked on gas and 240v ac

Just to close the loop on this particular thread. Had the new PCB module fitted today, all FOC including fitting, with thanks to Thetford.

Also had a new micro switch fitted to the Thetford grill. This is fitted to the wires from the grill thermocouple, basically it switches the grill burner off if someone closes the oven/grill door.

Thank for the steer in the right direction. My PCB burnt out last year 3/4 of the way up Norway. Needless to say no replacement and my dealer informed me that it was just out of warranty and relieved me of £150. Not a mention of talking to Thetford. I did email CS and by the end of play same day had a confirmation email to get the cremated PCB replaced. The new one will be a travelling spare never to be used
