The weather in morocco where we are is ...

We have a different coloured one for each day of the week, they're so cheap here.

1. Dont buy one in a colour that looks like a deck chair that your wife then hates..

2. Dont buy one 2.5mtr wide because when you roll it up and strap it across the back of a van it sticks out a mile.. !!!! But handy for knocking down bikes and scooters.. and giving donkeys a "dead leg". :Eeek:

6mtr x 2.5mtr lovely pattern Morocco mat could be for sale at Bellavista..

:Rofl1::Rofl1:

Got a 7.2 meter by 2 meter for 180 dm :thumb:(thanks ken)
And a nylon water proof bag made to measure 100dm

And mine dont stick out at all (smart arse I am)

If strapped sticking out just on the hab door side it ensures a French van can't park closer than 500mm giving you sufficient clearance to open your door (just).

Lovely hot uninterrupted sun down in Merzouga. Chilly wind first thing but that soon died away.
Spent the whole day lying by the pool doing absolutely bugger all.
Marvellous!
Tomorrow the plan is to repeat the same.

Tafroute breeze hot sun.

BUT the place is FULL OVERFLOWING, never seen so many MHs wild camping just outside town.

A little bit of cloud here in Merzouga but it's breaking up now and I suppose in an hour or so we will have to endure more sun
Oh well, someone has to do it, it might as well be us. :thumb:

I'd just like to crash your thread to tell you I've just gone out for my second bucket of coal and once again got soaked through.

As you were.

Awoken at 09:15 not by the call of the Imam but the bread man with his barrow.

Another scorching day here in Tafroute with fresh crusty baguettes delivered to the door. Fried eggs 'dans baguettes a la Suggy style sur la terrace aver ketchup' me thinks as we are clean out of pig :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Not much in the way of shade here unless you go round the wrong side of the van. It was 45 degrees in the the full sun at midday. Cooled a little now to 42.5 :Cool::Cool::Cool::Cool:

Just been out for a birthday luncheon - now we will have dwinkie poos on the terrace:Rofl1:

Zagora. Just perfectly hot in "Take your time". Campsite spectacular but Zagora is The Pits.

Arrived in Marrakesh at lunchtime where it was 29deg in the shade but feeling much hotter because of the heat being reflected back up off the Tarmac.
We're parked by the mosque and Been for a walk and a meal tonight in just shorts and t shirt. A bit different to six weeks ago when we had to have our overcoats on to walk round the square!

Have a walk up the hill away from Camping Prends ton Temps which although has the novelty of the ex paratrooper 'built like a brick sh1thouse lute player' it is located in the sh1tt1est part of town. When you get back up to the main in road turn left and find out what Zagora really has to offer.

Better still shift yourselves to Camping Les Jardins de Zagora and treat yourselves to a drink and perhaps a Hamam in the hotel opposite. Im certain your view of Zagora would soon change.:Eeek:

PS The weather is Tafraoute is once again very hot although we had dust a little mist yesterday afternoon.

It's going to be stinking hot in Marrakesh today.
Only 10:00am and it's 24deg in the shade.
Had difficulty sleeping last night because of the heat. Why do we torture ourselves this way?

Sunny in Taliouine, 25 in the van (with everything open) 30 outside.
We're camped at Taliouine
not a cloud to be seen.
The crocus not in flower
but safron everywhera...etc

Dragged ourselves away from Painted Rocks wild camping & took road to Taliouine via Igherm, aprox 200 km, took us 5 hours trying to avoid potholes for bout third of the way, in a few places tarmac ran out & been washouts but passable. We no take this route again until more tarmac:Eeek: But almond blossom plentiful & beautiful & interesting if you like mountain villages. Lot stony desert, barren mountain sides shape & colour of sand dunes. My incomprehensible semaphore led to a conflict with the electricity stanchion  (we won) but Toubkal campsite management very gracious :thumb:. Carol

May your goat tagine always be tender

It is not to be, now in Hot Kasba Palmerie outside Adge, another site with much character.

Raining off & on here today - best to stay where you are & don't even think about coming to Ireland
