Just discovered another (my second) seized* Reich pump. It's a 22l/m 1.8bar which replaced the original dual motor affair. I just tried amazon.se/fr/de and did a general search of EU retailers and it appears out of stock throughout the EU. As a last resort I looked al my 'local' dealer and it's listed there, and I could add it to my basket. So I'll be there in the morning and if their stock control system is showing stock when there isn't any I shall SCREEEEEAM.

When I have a working pump I'll be investigating the toilet solenoid :(

* I may be guilty of running this one dry for a time

Should take it back to the dealer. Third reich was supposed to last a thousand years! 😌

We had 3 Reich pumps then when we couldn't get a replacement changed to a Whale. I think we needed to fiddle about with the connectors but it wasn't a big job to change over.

How long dry?

The tread title is rather unfortunate, I get the play on words but some things are not to be joked about. 😐

I agree. Not having a working flush is very serious matter.

On the subject of not working, I have just ordered a new Reich (second in my case) to be delivered to the Amazon locker at Honfleur.

Is there any thing I need to know about, or is it a straight swap?

I have had the old one out - although not yet followed the wires back to wherever they are connected.

And I have to tell you I did indeed scream, under my breath, quietly, with a bit of anglo-saxon thrown in.
They had none, so I've reverted to the twin motor 19l, 1.4bar effort we had originally :(

I've read so many disgrace from Reich pumps that one year ago I bought one for spare. But, so far so good. 2,5 years and still going:LOL:🤞

You don’t actually need a Reich pump. You can buy alternative submersible types (half the price of Reich) as long as they have similar pump rate. We changed to a Comet type at 21 LPM. It works in exactly the same way. Ours is very good and I have bought another as a spare

Dunno. When we return from a trip I'm in the habit of pumping the remaining fresh water into the grey tank then using it on the garden. I tend to open the taps then get on with other things, got distracted once and forgot about it ...

Reich say that their submersible pumps can run dry for a short time but do not specify, so information is not much help to anyone.
