The Thetford Bash is on !!!

This could be a definate possibility for us, having never been on a rally before just wondered what facilities are available if any, such as water/ toilet emptying/hookup etc. like I said never been to one but sounds like this could be a good starting point as not to far away, .........Mark
 
No hook up as such but there are power points available for electric chair charging etc etc

Toilet dump and water is all laid on :thumb:
 
Ok.. at last we have had a costing for the hire of the site and its all go !!

Cost will be as before £10.00 a head for the whole weekend, from Friday through to Monday, but if you want to arrive a day or so early, that is no problem at all.. equally, if you want to stay after the Monday, you will be most welcome

Here is a first draft itinerary:

Official start Friday 2pm, and if anyone can help me out by marshalling that would really be appreciated.. All you will need to do is check folk in :thumb:

Friday evening mass Chinese take away ( price to be worked out and orders will be taken closer to the time )
The bar will be open

Saturday
Rideout to the coast, leaving at 10:30 for the motorcyclists so bring your bike if you have one.

A suggested historical walk in the town of Thetford if you would like to take it in, or I might be able to organise a treasure hunt for those that fancy a go at that sort of thing

Evening
Fast food in various forms will be available on site
Boogie on down to the band, and stick your hands in your pockets for the charity auction !! ( Yes !! The bloody candle WILL be there !! )
Dont forget to bring along anything you can spare for the auction.. be it stuffed dolls or bottle of bubbly !! ) All proceeds to Air Ambulance

Carry on dancing until you have had enough..........
The bar will be open

Sunday
Fast food of all sorts will be available on site
Can you ride the backward steering bike ? 50p for loadsa goes.. Cycle the course and win a prize ! All proceeds to Air Ambulance

You will be able to order a Sunday lunch ahead of the time. It will be £7.00 a head. Again, orders will be taken closer to the time

Have a go at the moped racing .. Free to enter.. all you need is the will to have a go !! ( and accept the fact you may fall off and get your picture all over the forum ! )

Silly games such as 'balloon put', jelly scoffing, tyre lobbing etc etc
The bar will be open !!

Sunday evening..
Chill out and lay back.. Some sort of sing along, hopefully to the Funsters own 'pop ( !!! ) group
The bar will be open !!

Monday..
pack up and say goodbyes.

well it would have helped if I hadn't managed to skip the page with all the details ! Oops ! I am really not covering myself with glory on this forum, keep making all sorts of stupid errors.

Anyway, can you pencil us in, please ? Mark'n'me and of course our trusty Badger ! It will all depend though on whether we sell our house - we are on the market and haven't had much joy thus far, but you never know. And if we do sell, we are planning to move from Suffolk to Orkney so ... quite a trek ! But then the rally could be well worth travelling back for and seeing family at the same time.

So only a pencil in, but hopefully we may make it

It is a bit of fun indeed ! :thumb:

It started off a a Club meet for Honda Blackbird owners, but two years ago I decided to take a chance and mix my two favourite clubs in one Bash

To say it was a success would be a bit of an understatement !!

Just about everyone seemed to have a great time and we raised a shed

Cannot find the pictures of the dummy spitting competition ( well, I thought everyone who uses a forum spits their dummy sooner or later, so we had a competition to see who could spit one the furthest ! ), nor the 'eat space dust and drink a drop of beer' competition ( to see whose head exploded first ! ) but dug up this one .. We have three little mopeds ( used to be normal ones but I got busy with the hacksaw and welder to make them a tad smaller ) and anyone can have a go at winning a trophy !

When I get back from Spain mid March I will start taking the bookings..

Everything is in place apart from a band for Saturday night but Scotties has taken the task on so just need confirmation and that will be the final bit of the puzzle !!
