Right slight change of plan .

I was going to head east after dropping off this scooter carrier

But

I've noticed lately that my eyesight has definitely deteriorated, and I'd had a text from specsavers the other week saying my 2 year eyetest was overdue ... really struggling with things upclose at the minute so because I'm heading over the water next month I don't want to take the chance of getting worse.

So because I suspect I'm going to need new glasses and those take about a week to get sorted I've phoned the specs avers branch in worthing and made an appointment for Friday 25th October for an eye test. That'll give me time to order and receive new specs before I go.

So I gotta figure out somewhere to park down there next week and a way to get in to worthing High Street.

So instead of heading east I'll stick to this side and check out a few places on route back south .

they’ll be no good if they’re not done in time and you’ve paid for ‘em..

This bleedin control panel just went off again. Stuck on "sos lights on" again for ages, checked all fuses everything fine . Had to disconnect plug from rear off the panel a couple of times till it reset.

I never did change that battery, I have the new one here but I hadn't had any more problems with that since before I fitted my lithium.

Very weird

Tam, our panel has not done that once since I changed that wee green battery a couple of months ago.

Good luck getting the binos before you leave for sunnier climes.

I've not had new specs in 2 years and only have the one useable pair at present so rather than take any chances vest to be safe than sorry

I did and as I only have single vision lenses she said it should be plenty of time. Have only ever waited around a week .

Worthing Specsavers is in a pedestrian area. Parking isn't good. Being October you may be able to park at the far (west) end of Western parade before the pay area starts. Its a fair walk but ok if it's not raining.
Lenny HB may know somewhere better

When you get your prescription try Goggles4u I got 73% off mine only cost me £28 for single vision transitions got delivered within the week so you could have them delivered to Lenny (if he’s agreeable to that)

I'm parking in uncle Lenny HB drive on Thursday and I'll catch bus in to worthing on Friday for my appointment. Then I'll go exploring for a bit again and return the following week when lenny is back

There's vibration now that you are using the van and iirc the battery didn't look to good ?

Yes I've got the battery just forgot to fit it as everything was OK after we did the lithium , uncle Lenny HB is gonna solder the new one in for me.

Hopefully that'll sort it.

I get my glasses from vision express, varifocals back to me within 7 days, my reactolite varifocals took 8 days
I had specsavers varifocals once, they were rubbish
