I read it a couple of years ago , it’s now a tv series by the look of it . It’s worth a read, especially as it’s free today which you don’t often see with Ann Cleeves books.

I have loads of books in my Dog Kennel list. I usually add them when I see recommendations such as reviews in Saga magazine. After a couple of years they have mostly gone down to 99p

I’m optimistic.
I add all full price kindle books to my Amazon “Wish List” and only buy when I spot the price is discounted.
Maybe it won’t work for the “new to me” Ann Cleeves author but does work for authors Lee Childs and RR Harwood to give two examples.

Edit: you need patience though. I get the monthly “Amazon First Reads” book. Those are often book 1 of a series…

I bought it too but wasn't sure whether or not it's a leader for the pay monthly free library thingy. I found two listings, one for monthly and one straight sale.

Well what I do is add authors/books to my (free) account on ereaderiq , make sure you pick the uk version.

I have them tracked, often these books drop to 99p for a day and an email let’s me know .

It’s easy to set up and it’s what I use to share book deal info.
