PS: having said that, the new box is rather insignificant. Is it really a problem? Far better remove the aggravating (to me) Media/Showcase buttons and flags, if I want them I'll find them

That has always been a function, I was just reminding members of it.

The new item is the Live Messenger that replaces Conversations. This always shows you who, of the people/friends you follow, is online and available for instant chats. Its this small box that sits at bottom right that some people did not like.

you can now message the people you follow without starting a conversation.. as Jim said.. same as Facebook messaging

If you click the HOME button on your keyboard it will take you right to the top from wherever you are, and that applies to most web pages.
We will now get moans from the pad users that they don't have a home button will we?
