The fat lady sings !

Glad to know Izzy is still batting Sandra. We said goodbye to Jess last September, she was 15.5 and had Cushings Disease.

As for laughing boy from Corby - as described in my previous post.

Phil-so Sad to hear that you have had to part ways with your Motorhome due to health reasons - I know how that feels ☹️. We still talk about our motorhome travels and especially our trips to Morocco. That journey down to Dakhla with you and Mena was one of the most memorable. We have taken to cruise holidays (6 booked this year!) as it really suits Gwen’s reduced mobility and totally avoids the hassle of flying. Good luck with your future travels mate!

Sorry to read the news Phil.

Best wishes for the future and may you enjoy a million more setting suns in locations of your dreams

Just to put the record straight Phil (FLT) extraordinaire.

We walked past Colin & Sandra’s van, when Izzy shot out and attacked Jess. I managed to separate them, but I still have the scar on my hand from Izzy’s teeth for my trouble. I’m sure Armytwowheels will verify my account, and agree that Izzy couldn’t be trusted near other dogs.
I had a feeling you would pop up after that post Ken.

We too feel the same about that trip down to Dakla and the othe times we spent with Gwen & you. We have booked our first Ocean fully inclusive trip to the Caribbean with SAGA departing October. Very expensive but income from motorhome sale pays for it with change. We will also keep in touch in the future. Remember this ? A magical time.

Ha! Ha! Ha! I just knew you would respond to that Ken. I must admit I did enjoy being in your company and loved your passion for sheite music. Do you remember the fun and games we had over this ? When I handed the motorhome over it still had two of them.

Mena and I have had over 90 responses from Funsters and we are very grateful for all your kind thoughts and well wishes. (I haven't had this kind of attention since being sent to Coventry (The second time :rofl:)).
Take care my lovelies and keep safe.

Hi Phil and Mena. We didn't know you'd been ill and were wondering what you'd been up too. Sorry your van had to go. Hope the cruise is amazing and hope you keep in touch.

Hi Guys, Yes its one of those very rare deseases that slowly creep up on you. I'm still mobile atm and can walk with a walking stick but my hands are very restricted and my muscle strength in my arm's and legs are failing. How I get on going forward is all uncharted waters as victims are effected to varying degrees. Some bed ridded, some in wheelchairs and some managing to get about with some form of assisstance. I seem to be at the right end of the spectrum at this moment in time and I'm hopefull with regular waking I can hold the worst of it back for a few more years yet. Were both looking forward to the cruise, some friends have warned us we will be confronted by a lot of snobs and people who are full of a hollier than though attitude. I already feel sorry for them and cant wait to get amongst them. Keep Safe.

Sorry to read your post but you were always a practical and positive character, we often wondered how Mena puts up with you! We're sure you have made the right decision and wish you both well for the future.
Also thanks again for your help and assistance at Chester couple of years ago - but that was always just what you do. (By the way, fully recovered now).

Today we sold our motorhome and regrettably move on. I have an incurable muscle wasting desease and this has forced a change in our lifestyle.
We have had a fantastic journey since buying our first motorhome many many years ago and then joining Facts before migrating to Fun and its been an amazing adventure. We have met some wonderful Funsters along the way and have fond memorise of those who have moved on.
I will become a lurker now and enjoy you lot from afar.
Mena and I will continue to travel. We did a shed load before getting a moyorhome and hopefully do a shed load after selling the motorhome. Keep safe and Safe Travels.
May you still have fun, albeit not in a motorhome.

Corby will never get rid of its past image. It's people are extremely sociable but down to earth.
as an outsider who has lived there thirty plus years my experience is they are proper down to earth working people who will give you there last shilling but you always know exactly where you stand with them no airs or graces or 2 facedness

Hi Terry, thanks for your kind words. It was you who helped us through our first crossing to Motocco all those years ago. I still remember meeting you guys in the car park at Agiceras and developing a great friendship from then onwards. Keep safe.

Hi again you two. Only just spotted your message. It sounds as though you're fairly upbeat Phil and making the most of your situation which is the only way to go whether we like it or not. Glenn and I haven't been able to get abroad for a while as he has had various health issues too. The insurance would be horrendous for a long trip. Already feeling sorry for the cruise snobs  Go easy on them and have fun.

Hi Guys, Sorry to hear about your health issues. I know only too well how motorhoming can form a big part of your life and I can sympathise with you. If travel insurance is an issue it might be worth looking at Nationwide Flexi Plus insurance. Either way, keep Safe and Mena sends her warmest.
