The Dressing Gown Brigade

Nothing per se - but would you walk down your street in your dressing gown? What is it about camping that results in this lack of inhibition?
Its just an item of clothing ?
The wearers are more 'covered up ,' then usual I would think

The c&mc site we are on does not have a toilet block so have been using the on-board.(Stanford)
Waiting till a little later as I have to empty the cassette before it can be used again. Will be making said trip in t-shirt pj bottoms (shorts) and none fluffy crocs.
Will I be allowed back on the forum. ???😔

Pretty well all of this thread is lighthearted banter - judgemental, yes.... but as a joke which is well understood by most

Wait ....
You can collect £200 for emptying the cassette if you are suitably attired? ::bigsmile:

If the site facilities are good we will use them out of preference to filling with water then having to drain it.

That's also what we are paying for on a site too.
Why go on sites? Now there’s a starter. 😊

Why so judgmental? I use the shower block and toilet facilities in preference to using the one in the MoHo. However recent Covid issues means my preference is to use the onboard facilities but will revert once a vaccine 💉 is available that way there is less cleaning and emptying to do whilst on Holliday.

what’s wrong with dressing gowns or onesies?
Why? Don‘t you like showering when you can hear men straining on the toilet, and smell their performance

🙈🙉🙊

We use are onboard facilities too, most of the time.
why men? Do women have silencers fitted?

Perhaps Jim should launch a new fashion accessory for the well appointed funster - the motorhomefun dressing gown. Imagine your trek to the shower block with the bright yellow smiley face logo prominently embroidered announcing your funster credentials. You'll either have that shower block to yourself, or it could get very crowded :whatthe:

There you go. This ones boys size, so if you want to impress....

After asking the initial question I have come to the conclusion some like dressing gowns, some don’t. Some like crocs, some don’t. Some like toilet blocks, some don’t. Some like their own facilities, some don’t, but everyone likes FUN. Each to their own, live and let live.
PS. New crocs and dressing gown ordered both in high vis yellow. Watch out coming to a site near you.

Ah, but everyone has opinions, and believe theirs is the only right one...

I've probably been guilty of all options expressed on here... all depends on circumstances & location.

OooooOOOOoooo ... I've had an idea .... I'll start a new thread ...

On the subject of toilet blocks the best I have ever seen are Camping Nattterer See in Austria. And Camping la Bella Vista in Southern Spain.
Oh ,those Bella vista showers have some power 👍

Well, all I can say is it depends on what you're comparing it to and I'm guessing anyone who doesn't like shared shower facilities has never played sport, gone to a motorcycle rally or been at a festival. We went to, our first festival aged over 50 and we loved it! (Apart from the long drop loos) If I was squeamish about shared showers, I'd have missed out on some of the best times of my life. I hope there are more good times to come, though an onboard loo is very nice, in the middle of the night. And I go to the showers fully dressed!

It’s essential to go to a narrow site shower cubicle fully dressed.

How else are you able to achieve a big wet patch on the back of your shirt where you failed to dry yourself properly, or fill your shoes with water because you forgot to place them far enough away from the shower?

I try to hang them outside, no need to be shy

I struggle to reach some of those branches on the trees tho....

We don't use the shower in our campervan, very small at the rear, took those horrible sticky curtains out when we bought it.
However it does have an extendable shower head from the sink near the rear doors and an all fresco shower has been mooted, but thankfully, for the sake of other campers, not needed yet

Dissapointed. I'm on one of the few C&CC sites where showers are still open. Everyone must have been reading this thread as there are no defaulters yet. Perhaps they'll emerge now it's getting dark so there won't be witnesses :)
