I budget on £10 a night. It generally averages out as I use campsites when the inevitable clothes washing needs to be done.

That was the figure I had allowed for at the start so I was delighted when it averaged at only £6.67. It will be interesting to see what it averages after a full year.

Love the update, taking more note of the costings as we are getting closer to our 12 month break starting in April. Had a five week trial trip with all costings recorded. Was going well until decided to stay on a large commercial site for 10 days at 40 Euro a night.

Blimey, €40 a night!! That must have been one helluva site. I will try and update the fuel, mileage etc this week

Thats what happens when the Kids want a free holiday, our mistake, we told them how nice the area of France was the next week they were there now they wanted all the mod cons of camping.
