Islamists hadn't started blowing us up then, so we drove under and through the Eiffel Tower and then overnighted parked in its shadow on the bank of the Seine

Left to right: mom, me, dad, sister. Circa 1959. No electricity, no gas, earth floor. Ah happy days.

First day of school, January 1960. First time of compulsory shoe wearing! Was not happy.

School photo - probably around 1963, for some reason I got the nickname of wingnut, I don't know why :giggle:

Roll on to 1971, and my first motorbike, a BSA C15 ............................ happily, the ears settled back inboard, and today I still have hair, but I would never get into those jeans.

Me and older brother in a pedal car with rear tipper that my dad made for me. Note leather sheath on my right thumb which I had cut on a broken bottle.

Me with Billy Fury's MGA at a camp site in Yarmouth. We were in our caravan just a few vans away from him, he was appearing on the pier.

Circa 1989. My husband’s 1987 Kx 250 outside our first home in Bovington, Dorset. Ironically he now races Evo motocross and has 2 of the identical bike, same year. We had a crab and trailer in those days.

And prior to that I was a "tugger"

Still got the chairs ;)
Mena and I remember that trip well Martin and loved being with Jen, yourself and others. It has to be said, it was a great 'Meet'. AS others are posting younger pictures of themselves here is I when I was serving in Berlin with the British Army main battle tank unit of 12 Centurians. It was a fantastic posting and next door was a prison that held one prioner, guraded by armed guards from France, UK, Russia & U.S.A. who rotated every week with tower searchlights. electrified fences, multiple warning signs, night lights and a kill box. None other than Rudolf Hess who had the whole prison to himself. (That's anouther story)
