We looked after my Mum with Alzheimer's disease after a stroke and my Step Father with vascular Dementia. Its hard work, stressful, painful and on the odd occasion, funny.

You may find, when times get really bad. Logging on here for a chat and an update, may cause pain bringing back memories. But it can also help.

Who knows?.

Bloody breaks your heart some days. But I lived to tell the tales from them both, good and bad.

So sorry to hear this but::
Please stay , it’s a very long lonely journey caring for dementia
This site was my lifeline when caring for mum, many a nite, early morning I would pick up and read or ask / gain information. As sad as it is, it’s actually the carer that needs the help in this situation, don’t know how far in your journey you are remember somebody here will always listen and answer 24hrs.

Sorry to read this I really am. Dementia is a terrible condition as you are proberly already know.
I struggle to even look at my father these days.
