Test requires to go to France

The UK Government site says you cant use the self administered test for travel to France.

COVID-19 entry requirements

From 00:00 CET 4 December (23:00 GMT 3 December), fully vaccinated travellers (aged 12 years or over) travelling from outside of the European Union to France must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test result from either a PCR or antigen test. Tests must be taken no more than 48 hours before travel for vaccinated travellers and no more than 24 hours before travel for those who are not fully vaccinated. Self-administered tests are not accepted. HGV and van drivers arriving in France from the UK are not required to provide a negative COVID-19 test to enter France. Consult the French Embassy in the UK website and the French government’s website for further information. We will update these pages as soon as further details are confirmed

That refers to NHS tests- the French Govt accept them provided they are checked/certified by a lab

Thats where the confusion is then! As it dosent mention NHS. It just says self administered tests!

And what is boots charging ?

Ignore ! Found it ! £30
The problem with boots is it takes up to 48 hours for the results.

We re getting tests at Asda Oxford on Tuesday for tunnel on wednesday £35 each

If you are happy to trust your mate then go ahead, I would rather trust the travel information for France on our own Government’s website. I’m not providing a link, it’s easy enough to find.
As is usual with anything on the gov.uk info it is completely ambiguous.

As a definitive answer to all this has anyone in the last 48 hours passed through French immigration with a home delivered, remotely assessed LFT? If so did you / they get through or not?

Not for the LFT.. Local Boots is quoting 20 minutes
Its a right mess at the minute. Who knows what we're supposed to be doing. Eurotunnel certainly don't seem to. I asked them earlier if a home test was ok and they said yes as long as I've got a certificate!!

You did well......I asked them in an email and after two days they directed me to the govt website.

Webchat, but yes wouldn't be drawn on a provider even though there's apparently an Asda just down the road from them. I reckon there's a msrket for a testing place App.

Buy a LGV and go to and fro without challenge test etc.
How can anyone believe in the system escapes me.
Although keeps the internet busy looking for the next rule change, and fear topped up to establish more control daily.

I hope this helps👍 As others have said. As long it is a paid for and verified test, you can get the home tests.

TRAVELLING FROM THE UK TO FRANCE

1. Travelling from the UK to France

LAST MINUTE :

From 4 December, fully vaccinated travellers (12 years old or more), and whatever their nationality, have to provide the result of a negative PCR or antigen test (in paper or digital format) carried out less than 48h hours prior to departure. Self-administred tests, whose results are not certified by a laboratory (e.g.: tests provided free of charge by the NHS) are not considered valid for travel.
The NHS indicates that it will not carry out tests for travel purposes. Private entities offering the same service must therefore be used.

Well as a definitive answer then yes they do accept a test done at home and verified by photo emailed of the result. We're now the other side of immigration waiting to board......princely sum of £16 each...!
