I am considering fitting Tessa electric levellers to my Malibu PVC. I have ruled out hydraulic systems as there is simply no space to fit the pump. Has anyone fitted a Tessa system and if so what are the plus/minus opinions please.

Our E&P levellers feet are 230mm diameter, and sometimes we need pads under our feet to stop us sinking when the ground is soft-ish.

The optional footplate covers increase the area by 40% and we’ve not had any similar issues since fitting them - even on very soft ground.

They’re a bit expensive but buying from Mees Outdoors meant there was no vat applied at their end or, (luckily for me!), by U.K. customs. Cost was £114 delivered.

As an owner of quite a few land rovers over the years, have you considered the fitting of a PTO? It would only need a small tank, 4 short double action rams (in/out) and some hydraulic lines. It would certainly not be anywhere near £4k.

Yup, I know, I fitted a set three or four years ago from another Dutch company, I think that mine cost about £130 at the time. (y)

The viability of using this home brew method have discussed a few time of other threads in the past.

My Tesa was £3700 all in (Sep '22). Very pleased with it, except it's a low chassis, and sometimes there isn't the clearance for the jacks to swing down (eg on my drive). Rarely a problem on trips though. Only irritation with it is the series of beeps you get every time you start the engine. As said before, it's supplied with pads which I've only needed a couple of times.
Also a couple of pics of a CCC site in Wales I almost didn't believe when we arrived - that needed some thought and a few wooden blocks though!

I have the hydraulic lifters on my tag axle they were on when we bought the vehicle we love them but £6000 is a big dent in your wallet our friend who bought our older tag axle had the electric ones fitted at £3500 a couple of years ago, this is the opinion of both of us if you can afford it go for the hydraulic ones he wished he had paid the difference main reason is the electric ones really struggle on ground that is not level.
Getting the legs to swing out on uneven ground can be a struggle to say the least as most of our camping is on fields rather then campsites hope this helps.
