I have an unlimited data, calls and text contract with Tesco using O2. Had it for a few years now and have not taken out a new contract when this on expired and decided to let it run on - on the basis that I retain the unlimited roaming at no charge. Tesco has of course extended the unlimited roaming to 2025 and now 2026 for newer contracts. I intend to let mine run on in any case to retain my indefinite unlimited roaming.
We use it while travelling widely in the EU visiting 6/7 countries for around 6 weeks+ for the last 3 years. We stream extensively and do this via the hotspot on my iPhone to my Smart TV. We also hotspot my wife’s iPhone and my iPad at the same time whilst streaming. We have never had any issues in all of our travels.
We also have a Maxview aerial on the roof, and router - but have never found the need to use it given the above.
