Ten Ways to Ruin a CL Owner’s Day – Please Don’t Be That Camper

It's dealing with the public most nice polite and helpful people others a right pain. We had years of it running our optometry buisness people eligible for an NHS test but repeatedly not turning up in the end we had a policy that after the second you pay in advance for a private appointment and get a refund if you turn up at the stated time it had the desired effect quite a few went somewhere else!
We now run a holiday let dogs are allowed downstairs ( hard flooring) but not upstairs the first let after re carpeting someone let their dog upstairs and guess what happened on the carpet they didn't tell us the cleaners did. They had booked several weeks as they were waiting to complete on a house purchase and probably found it pretty difficult to find somewhere else when we told them they were no longer welcome.
I blame the old saying that the customer is always right they are unless they're wrong!
No right for a good kicking:giggle:

I blame the old saying that the customer is always right they are unless they're wrong!
The problem with that saying is that it is never quoted in it's entirety.

The most widely cited, and arguably original, full quote is "The customer is always right, in matters of taste." This phrase, attributed to Harry Gordon Selfridge, founder of Selfridge's department store in London, emphasizes the importance of respecting customer preferences, even if they are not objectively right.

Reminds me of the Jack of all trades quote which is used as an insult. But the full quote is actually better.

The full saying is "Jack of all trades, master of none, but often times better than a master of one." This phrase suggests that while someone proficient in many areas may not be an expert in any particular field, their versatility can make them more resourceful than a specialist in certain situations.

Misquotes as you say quite often do more damage than the full quote intended :(
