Just got back from West Bay. Went on a whim, found no parking anywhere for motorhomes. Local said there is a site out by the Spar shop and yes there was sadly closed for the winter. Ended up on the Park Dean mountain touring pitch, it was Monday and was getting darker by the second other half was getting, well lets say I had to find somewhere. Secured a deal at reception and then stupidly said no charge for the dog, me and my big mouth £3 a night extra ops.
Anyways after the 50 MPH winds Monday night the rest of the time was mostly dry and often T shirt weather. PD itself I was not impressed with as we were limited where we could take the dog, on a plus West Bay was very dog friendly, only the Cornish Bakery (yes I know it is Dorset it gets them around selling Cornish Pasties) was no dogs. Liked it enough to go back for a day trip sometime. If you do go I can recommend the George for food and real Dorset Ales.
