I've just been catching up on this thread from page 191 and have read that you're buying silver screens in Fareham. I've skipped reading the last three pages cos I'm off to bed so I don't know if anyone has offered to pick up your screens in Fareham but I live in Gosport which runs into Fareham. No problem for me to pick them up for you.

Morning

Thanks for that , the guy seems fine to hold on to them for me my only issue is hes leaving friday night to go away for the weekend till monday so I have to collect them by then or wait till the monday.

I'll be at lennys from Wednesday to the friday.....but not sure when on friday yet as depends what we discover with my van.
But as lenny is busy over weekend and I've a small list of places I have to visit on way home I plan to be moving on Friday afternoon/evening anyway

If I make good time from folkestone Wednesday morning I'll probably go straight to fareham collect them then back to lennys

It was more a worry incase he didn't hang on to them for me and sold them before then.
But he doesn't look short of money so he shouldn't get desperate as I'm giving him the full asking price etc. And he's said he would keep them.

If anything happens meantime that screws up my plan then yes that would be fantastic if you could collect them for me.

But hopefully all goes smooth ?
 
I have an appointment at vets for dog worming at 5pm so I'm now off to lidl as toby currently resembles old mother hubbards cupboard.....I literally have 2 apples , a tub of margarine and 1portion of cereal left in the van as I was putting off shopping till I got an asda in blighty but that didn't work ha ha

The A27/M27 approaching Fareham is a bit of a nightmare. Smart motorway works, 50mph speed limit enforced by average speed cameras.
 
€3 for 5 oranges is frankly disgusting

And why does France get their oranges from Africa when spain is closer ?

Cannae get a decent biscuit in this country either and need a mortgage for a bar of chocolate.......
If lidl used less aisles for loads of cheap crap that you dont go to the supermarket for they would have room for real food

I honestly dont get french food

Its crap......even the bread


I miss mercadonna



I bet that's what the customs were really looking for in my van ....decent food

Can a doggy person just put my mind at ease and confirm it is only the rabies and worming that's important for dogs coming back to the UK?

Jade needs one of her other vaccinations updated but I'd prefer to get vet at home to do that


I'm paranoid incase something else stops me getting out of this god forsaken country on Wednesday lol

Rabies and worming are all that are needed, so you can stop stressing! Check the DEFRA website for the official info.

And as for France, we love the country and the food. Think yourself lucky that you have got away this year as we haven't managed to. :cry:?
 
We buy this, about €0.79 from Lidl in France, always bring several bars back.

I love lidl ...in the uk and Spain and portugal

But Belgium, germany and france its shit

Cannae get a decent biscuit, or a fresh pizza for love or money

And the chocolate is 3 times the price

But I have €7.63 in change to get rid of before i get the train so I'll go hunting in lidl at cite europe for that and report my findings with photographs

So I've changed the plans for windscreen rubber, Richard green had said high wycombe or Manchester and originally I thought high wycombe was best option but since I'm now going from folkestone to lancing to fareham to bristol to Coventry it makes sense to then go to manchester , I've then something else to collect in keighley and then up to Newcastle to visit Angela, do my cv etc

So booked in for windscreen next monday morning and theyve said it's ok for me to park in their carpark over night on the sunday .
So that should work out fine

If I dont get delayed in france again


It's like hotel California here they don't let you leave

Thats for the cheapo bar, there is a larger bar for a bit more. The one I prefer is the fruit and almond.

Yep that's pretty much how I felt too ....its like they really wanted to find something

I suppose I'm just lucky they didn't plant anything .....worse when you're solo
