Richard Green PSV mobile number 07920007223
Tony Hurndall PSV (Richard Green's boss) 07720 553605

Don't ask me why I have these numbers as I think you know the answer.
That worked ? I sent him a text this morning and stated I was sending a copy to Tony hurndall also. Got a reply within an hour. So he's going to confirm on Monday but new rubber being fitted Wednesday in high Wycombe.

Head West, follow the coast road towards Brittany....take your time, one of the best trips I have done.....stay positive (y)

Ok so does anyone know any vets around Calais or between France and Belgium? I'm thinking if I've to stay I may as well visit some places I've not been.
But I need a vet by tomorrow or Tuesday so I can return on 28th

I suppose that's because she has a Spanish passport,I don't know about the rest of Spain but here in Andalusia the dogs have to have a rabies jag every year- in the UK it's every three years. So keep an eye on Milo's passport too.
If you are returning after the B thing there will probably be the titre blood test to observe too, from what I read on here that is pretty long winded (several months) so you will need to plan ahead Tam.
Hope you enjoy your bit of extra time on this side of the water.
I received a text from a chum living outside Beauly a few days ago, it was minus 5°c there! Brrr! keep smiling.:D

Google European Vets for Pet Passports for a map of vets.

Make sure you check the date required for the next jab. As Val said in some European countries it is yearly not every 3years.

I know there’s one in St. Omar with an Aire opposite but Aire suffers from very noisy trains that shake the ground!

Tam that is a bit inconvenient since you’ve arranged to have your windscreen sorted.

You will probably have to have both dogs wormed again and their passports signed. Don’t get caught out with the time on the passports and the time of your travel.

Yep I just realised that and I'm a bit annoyed about that , surely a back to UK consultation means the vet is supposed to check the passport and make sure everything is in order . So that's €46 wasted on worming.

That and the fact my van has issues with charging and batteries ( batteries reading 0 again this morning )

It's really inconvenient and costly

I think I'll visit Belgium and Germany

sh##t happens , turn the negative into a positive, It’s an extended holiday , another 4 weeks in the country of your choice , you never know it could end up being the best 4 weeks of your trip , chin up big man & stay positive , remember your not alone as we are with you ?, hopefully you haven’t lost your channel crossing costs

Suppose you'll have to phone the windscreen place too, cancel the appointment ...
Head to Belgium... or even Holland? Germany? You've got a few days!

Have a look at a couple of my trips.

This one was August this year.

And this one spent a couple of weeks in Germany on the way to Croatia.

Aye which was embarrassing after me demanding they fix it this week

But cancelled and said I'd contact them before I crossed end of the month

I swear the world is out to get me at the minute.

Stuck in France till the 28th as jades rabies vaccination has expired and I didn't know ?
Were you turned away from the boat due to the rabies dates in Jade's passport Tam? If so, I too would be well p**d off.
The vet's stamp and signature is supposed to verify that the dog is fit to travel.
If the animal's rabies jags are not up to date, then it is not fit to travel.
I would name and shame that vet, I believe your money was taken under false pretences.

Thinking further- thank goodness it was spotted on the French side, otherwise poor Jade might have been condemned to six months quarantine with all the misery and expense that would involve.

Yes pet passport check at tunnel 45 minutes before I was due to cross ?

The vet at mailleraye charges for a "return to UK consultation " and yes he's signed it saying dog fit to travel but rabies expired in April....

Ok so I'm also at fault as I didn't know it was only 1 year and I hadn't really looked at passport ...you don't really do you

I wrongly assumed the vet had actually checked it before he stamped it but he didn't

So €46 wasted and 166km away so not worth driving back there as I'd rather go east for a few weeks ...Might aswell make most of it.

Hi Tam, Im concerned as I recommended that vet to you I think, so can we clarify please?
Did the vet tell you, verbally or in writing, that the rabies ran out in April?

The vet didn't tell me anything that's the problem .
The person checking passport pointed it out when I went to book in
The Spanish
rabies only lasts 12 months so expired on 02/04/19

The UK one lasts 3 years apparently

But the vet obviously didn't check the passport before he stamped and signed it as safe to travel

Don't think this vet is to far from you. All went as it should for us when we had Margo checked/wormed etc before returning to UK in September. Vet didn't speak any English but the friendly receptionist spoke well and came in and translated for us. We rang at 9am on the Monday morning and had appointment 2 hours later,
