Tam n pups winter trip 2022

You're all welcome.

It's back to reality now, had my last treat tonight in the form of a Chinese takeaway , back On the diet from tomorrow. Going to look at a car tomorrow morning that's hopefully OK 👍. Then I need to start emptying all my stuff out the van that I can live without for now , put it in mums loft and give the van a thorough clean out from top to bottom so I can get it advertised properly. Few wee jobs to do on it to ,replace kitchen tap , refit rear parking sensors , remove towbar , change oil and filters etc. Weather forecast looks crap though

Merc still looks in good
I think mum has been cleaning the Vario 😜 and probably only removed the for sale sign when she saw you was approaching at speed. 😄

Well you certainly had some ups and downs on this trip adventure Tam, it's somewhere that has come up a few years ago but Janie said No, 😁 but I loved your journey and fantastic photos, certainly an eye opener at times, glad you got home safely it could have been a lot worse, 🙄 and very expensive. 😯

It was lovely meeting up in Javea, we are heading slowly north but probably only as far as Derby in our month in the UK, then back to northern Spain and Portugal for August / September should be back home sometime in October. 🙂
Thanks taking the time and lots of effort loved it. 😎 Bob.

Northernraider Tam like all that have followed your travels thank you so much for the time you have taken with the photos descriptive writing and honest thoughts I have looked forward to reading it your adventures every day. I will now enjoy following what ever decisions you make on building your new Van.
:thanks3:

Surprisingly mum is all for either the vario or me building a truck or something, she shares my like for things that are different and more cosy cottage than modern whites and clinical looking which I think many of the motorhomes look nowadays. I think I just get bored with factory vans , it's hard to make one a home and have it feel mine. I'm still not sure yet it's a hard decision but the reason I keep changing vans is I get bored. If I build one it doesn't have to be finished quick it just has to be habitable fairly quick. But building as I go isn't out the question , some are never finished as you change them as you change. But its hard finding something out there that suits me perfect. That doesn't cost more than I can afford.

Your mum could have sold the merc and then said it had been stolen and she didn't tell you as she didn't want to spoil your adventure, then you would have wondered why they didn't steal her brand new car at the same time:ROFLMAO:

Tam. Thanks for taking the time to do all the posting. I thought Morocco started badly and I was worried it might fizzle out as a story. Thankfully it took off in the end and glad you had an interesting time in the end.

I thought you might have fallen in love with the van and decided to keep it. They are a bit of a classic and very well made. But not so

Yes it's a lovely van for living in but not so good I think when you are travelling. It was amazing how he drove it on those mountain tracks in Morocco.

Another thanks from me Tam, looking forward to seeing what you do next.
I like the unusual too, despite having a white box, still miss my garden shed on wheels first van.

A great thread - I seldom missed a day of your adventure. With your eye for taking photos you could go professional. Many thanks from me for making it so interesting and the best of luck with the future van ..... whatever it turns out to be.
I wonder what the pups will think of being in freezing wet Scotland?

I think this guy went to Morocco to get inspiration for his Vario. Love the van, but not sure I would love Morocco after seeing it through Tam’s eyes.
Nevertheless, Northernraider, I will be forever grateful to you for taking me on your travels.
Can we go to Romania next year?
